Camp laws

1. No one is above the law. The Ubars word is law.
2. Commanders of 10 act as common Judges for disputes but only for punitive problems.
3. Commander of 100 may overrule Commanders of 10.
4. Commanders of 1000 may overrule Commanders of 100, and may administer punishments up to, but not including Death.
5. Only the Ubar may command Death of a tribe member.
6. We do not reveal our Ubar to strangers.
7. Scarred Warriors will not have their authority challenged by woman. If there is a dispute it should be brought to the mate or guardian of the woman and let to his discretion.
8. Tribe above all. This means one should think how their actions effect the tribe as a whole.
9. Death matches are not allowed without the Ubars Consent.
10. Disputes between tribe members should be handled rationally. Use the Chain of Command. For less serious matters:
Disputes between Free Women will be mediated by ONE objective female clan leader first.
Disputes between a Warrior and a Free Woman it will be solved by the Woman's guardian or mate.
Disputes between Warriors will be mediated by a Commander above them. If unsettled they will spar for honor and let it rest after a winner is determined.
Serious Matters will be taken to the Ubar or the Guardian to be settled.

11. Courting is permitted under the following laws:

a. The Warrior has earned his Courage Scar<
b. Permission is given and a price set by the Free Woman's Guardian or if none, the Ubar. There will be a mandatory three mun week courting period before any claiming will be allowed.
During this time either the male or female can call it off.
If no one backs out the Male may claim her without any further permission by stating his claim.
After the claim is made the female has no right to refuse to mate at this point.

12. If a man chooses to claim his slave there is no courting. A one mun week period will be allowed for the woman to adjust, after that she will be expected to act as a Free Woman of the tribe.
13. The Clan of Torturers abide by a set of Codes they have sworn by. They are justice, but not above law.
14. Any who kill a bosk foolishly will be dealt a cruel death.
15. Any who endanger the tribe's safety will be dealt with by the Clan of Torturers.
SCARRED WARRIORS


1. We are Gorean men. We are respected, feared and obeyed.
2. Courage is valued above all. It is the first Scar, no other scar can be given without it's placement.
3. Honor, Patience, Wisdom, and Pride are our trademarks.
4. We are known for discipline there is respect given to those in higher rank.
5. When mounted with the lance and shield respect is given to Commanders. The shield is struck once for Commander of 10, twice for Commander of 100, and three times for Commander of 1000. The Ubar is not revealed to strangers.
6. Our woman are sought after and protected by Warriors of the tribe. They are not treated like slaves.
FREE WOMAN
1. Free woman will conduct themselves accordingly. Behavior unfitting will land them in a collar.
2. Supervision / Punishment to a Free Woman falls to her mate or guardian.
3. Free woman will be accompanied by at least two Camp Guards when leaving Kataii land. On Kataii land there are ALWAYS Outriders protecting woman of the tribe.
4. Free Women of the tribe will know how to use the horn bow and quivas to defend herself and people.
5. . Free Woman do not wear silk, to do so would be an act of submission. Their hair is worn braided in public. Ignoring these customs is the grounds for collaring.
VISITORS, GUESTS AND PROSPECTS:
Tribe Laws will be obeyed by all who touch Kataii land


VISITORS


1. All visitors are responsibility of whom ever speaks for them at the fires.
2. They are expect to follow tribe laws while on the Kataii lands.
3. Acts of aggression will either get them killed or handed of to the Clan of Tortures.

GUEST


1. May be asked by any tribe member to leave the fires.
2. Are not allowed in camp without a tribe member present.
3. Acts of aggression will either get them killed or handed of to the Clan of Tortures.

PROSPECT


1. Prospects will perform tasks to prove their worth to the tribe, they will also be taught lessons from their sponsors and be expected to know and swear by the laws of the tribe.
2. Prospects are to warn off strangers if no full Kataii is present. If they want to join, inform them to come back when one of the tribe members are available to speak to them. If they refuse to leave, you may use force to drive them off.
3. Acts of aggression will either get them killed or handed of to the Clan of Tortures

SLAVES
1. Slaves have no rights, they are property. Their purpose it to serve and please their Masters.
2. Slaves are expected to frequent the main camp and serve all Free Persons.
3. Slaves are not permitted to braid their hair.
4. Misbehaving slaves will be punished. Any slave can be punished by any Free Person who resides in the camp. Once punished the slave will be chained to her/his Master's wagon until their owner releases them.
5. Property is to be respected. Tribe does not steal, mare or kill another's property without impunity.
